Dr.Web Agent Mobile Mode

If a user's Mac has no connection to Dr.Web Server for a long time, the station switches to the Dr.Web Agent Mobile mode to receive timely updates from Dr.Web GUS.

The Mobile mode will be available in the Dr.Web Agent settings if the Mobile mode is allowed in the Control Center, in the Anti-virus Network → Permissions → macOS → General → Run in mobile mode.

In the Mobile mode, Dr.Web Agent tries to connect to Dr.Web Server three times and, if unsuccessful, performs an HTTP update from Dr.Web GUS. Dr.Web Agent tries continuously to find Dr.Web Server at interval of about a minute.

When Dr.Web Agent is functioning in the Mobile mode, Dr.Web Agent is not connected to Dr.Web Server. All changes made for this station at Dr.Web Server, will take effect once the Dr.Web Agent Mobile mode is switched off and the connection with Dr.Web Server is re-established.

In the Mobile mode only virus databases are updated.

In the Mobile mode, the Dr.Web Agent operation is not limited in time, but the virus databases are updated from Dr.Web GUS only till the expiration date of the station license key, information on which has been saved by Dr.Web Agent at last connection to Dr.Web Server (the license key itself is stored on Dr.Web Server).
